College life: Well, not really, but I am getting prepared. Mom works as a medical assistant teacher at Remington College, and she's gotten to talking with one of the instructors there. He's going to prep me up for college, and he also teaches his students how to interaction. Also, I think I might consider getting an education in networking, because I do love computer, plus one of the guys at Remington is really good at what he does...networking, from what I've seen, looks badass, plus it pays a hell of a lot.
Besides that: Nothing else has been happening with me. I have a shit loads of books to read, games to play, and plenty of RPG books I can sink my teeth into...but sadly, I haven't gotten the courage, or inspiration to do neither. While I would like a job in networking, doing all sorts of computer wizardry, I still want to create.
I personally think that I can tell a good story, maybe not as well as James Cameron, or J.R.R Tolkien, but I think I can make something that might at least entertain people, and really that's all I can ever ask for.
Also, to be honest, watching critics 24/ 7 hasn't helped much either. I talked to dad about it, and he made me feel better, though I still can't shake off the fact that no matter what I make, it's going to be torn a new asshole, or one douchbag will come along, say that my works suck, and I'll probably be the next Uwe Boll, or the terrible duo Jason and Aaron?
Although, my step mother made an interesting point, and it's that, "it's imposable to make something that everybody will hate". So I should probably stop worrying about what everybody will think of it, and just write, draw, or plan it anyway. Like what Rob Schrab said, "you are a creator, you have no choice".
Sorry if this is a little...emo let's say? I try not to be too emotional, because I don't want people to be driven away from my journal entries, or art channel in general. With all of those touchy feelings out of the way, let's talk movies. I have a tendancy to change opinions when someone else expresses it (I'm trying my damndest to not be that way) so I'll write my opinions before hand.
Terminator Salvation: This was a freaking blast to watch, and I'm sure James Cameron would be proud of it. For starters, it's nice to finally see a Terminator film, that takes place in the very future that the Cohner family try to prevent, because I'm sure we've all had thoughts on how exactly the future went down...now we have a film that depicts it perfectly.
It had just about everything you've wanted in a good action flick, action, lil bit of drama, and even a sence of adventure. The machine designs were pretty bitchin looking, although I kind of wish there were more of them. All in all, it was pretty good.
Angles and demons: The sequal to Da vinci code...though oddly, Angles and Demons was the first book, and Da vinci code came second. It doesn really matter, because the film was fucking awesome. There wasn't really anything I didn't like in that film. If you liked the first film, go watch this one.
...and before I go.
